On Sundays we offer very special excursions. As we have been involved with social projects in Sri Lanka since 1980, with the active help of our colleagues, we are able to show you the country and its people from a completely different perspective.
We visit remote villages with their unspoilt charm and its people with their inner worth and values who come to welcome us with dignity and open hearts.
In many locations we have built and equipped so-called cultural centres, which are used for meetings, village festivities, but also for educational purposes. We finance teachers for the villagers, support children's homes as well as for the disabled and elderly. We have the opportunity to make contact with the families of our many donor children. They need the support of loving people from our part of the world, who help them finish their education, so they are strong enough to face life and grow up to become responsible adults.
They sing, dance and put on traditional folk tales for our guests and friends, enjoying the presentation of their achievement.
The village women prepare food for us in the traditional way and ask us to lunch.
